The GIT-1 is only compatible with Genie Intellicode/Overhead Code Dodger Openers. The side of your motor head should say "intellicode" or "code dodger." If your opener does not say Intellicode, it is not compatible.

Last fall we purchased a house that had a Genie garage door opener, but didn't have any remotes to go with it. So I was looking for a garage door opener remote that would be compatable. This Genie remote works excellantly. It was easy to configure. Have had no problems with it, it does what it is indented.
