Instructions next to useless and tech support doesn't exist June 10, 2010 Mister Grumpy (Springfield, Illinois USA) I purchased this device for a Moore-o-matic Opener whose manufacturer had gone out of business. Although the instructions says that it is a simple snip of a wire on the back of the receiver....... it's not that simple..... the instructions do not explain how hook up a two wire device on a system with four connections (three wires). I did get the device to function, however I don't think the average person without some electrical knowledge will be able to get these to work. Plus, although my garage door open and closes as it should...... the sensors don't detect any blockages as the sensor system was designed to do...... but the opener works and that's all I care about....... If these devices fail, I won't be buying another.
In addition........ the technical support from the device manufacturer is nonexistent...... you wait on the phone for 15 minutes, and then you're sent to a voice mailbox to leave a message....... so don't waste your time calling.
Solved my door closing problems. March 14, 2010 Medengineer (Goleta, CA United States) My old beams on my Moore 'O Matic door opener began to have a lot of problems and the door would not close properly. These were a snap to install and solved my problem.
Excellent product September 12, 2009 Thomas Miller 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Worked right out of the box. I was concerned because my garage door opener was about 15 years old, but these replacement sensors worked perfectly. The instructions were excellent, it explained which wire I had to snip, attached it to the existing wires, and bam, it was operational. Highly recommend.

Sensor unit(s) arrived in excellent shape with great instructions. Easily installed and have worked perfectly...planning to order another set.
Excellent solution for sunlight interference July 15, 2009 Craig (Longmont, CO USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a Genie garage door opener which had the original factory sensors and was having problems operating the garage door due to sunlight interference. My installation is challenging because of my door's eastern exposure and the intense morning sun that is frequent in Colorado. I tried multiple re-alignments; reversing the sensors; and changing the sensor mounting locations to minimize exposure to direct sunlight. My garage door opener simply would not function on sunny mornings using the Genie sensors.
I installed the Digi-Code Universal Safety Beam Sensors several months ago and have had no problems since. Instruction and mounting are simple. The brackets are more staple (not prone to misalignment caused by vibration or accidental bumping of the mounting brackets - when installed correctly). Getting the sensors to align with the beam was easier than with the Genie sensors. Conversion to a non-Genie product was also very simple.
Excellent product!
