 Very disappointed with this product.. July 6, 2010

I regret buying this product.... I paid for 2 day shipping and when I got it and tried to replace with my broken one,
it didn't work... Tried all different ways to reconnect the wires and still don't work.. Now, 32 days later, I am stock with it and can't even return it.. I am very disappointed and don't recommend anyone to buy it!!

If the light blinks 10 times and it won't work even after carefully aligning the safety beam, then this is probably the part you need. From what I see on discussion groups, it's a part that commonly goes bad.
Incidentally, Chamberlain technical support misdiagnosed the problem on the phone and sold me an expensive circuit board, which was the wrong part.

These were easy to install. I already had compatible metal brackets in place, which are not included otherwise. Splicing the wires was fairly simple with the provided hardware, and they worked as they were supposed to once installed - now going on close to a month with no trouble. Detailed instructions are provided with the kit.

Great buy that saved a bundle in service charges that would have come with a call to a local garage door dealer. Price was much lower than I could have purchased the same product locally. Easy to install.
